I offer a confidential counselling service to adults either face to face, by telephone or Zoom. I work in a calm non-judgemental manner, and provide a private space in which to feel safe and comfortable to explore whatever issues are causing difficulties.
The therapeutic goals will be identified together, and a way of working towards achieving those objectives will be our aim. The work together will build a relationship of trust that will be a foundation for positive therapeutic outcomes.
I am particularly aware and have an insight into the particular issues and challenges experienced by those who work in farming or who live a rural lifestyle. The emotional difficulties some face with pregnancy, delivery and the early years are also areas where I am able to offer some specialist knowledge. I have additional training and interest in the effect of a boarding school education on an individual, or on their partner.
It is possible to offer afternoon or evening appointments.
To underpin my work, I adhere to the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy Ethical Framework and the National Counselling Society Code of Practice. I am a member of both professional bodies.
I hold Professional Liability Insurance.
I access regular supervision from a qualified supervisor, as a mandatory ethical requirement and to provide personal self-care.
